<dc:title>Referee's report by John Perry, on a paper 'A three limbed linkage mechanism for converting circular into straight line motion' by F J Jervis-Smith</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Sectional committee: [Physics and chemistry]

The description of Jervis-Smith's mechanism and his figure II are rather difficult to understand but he has made a model and understands what Jervis-Smith means. Sees no use in the publication of this paper as it presently stands. If the author will exhibit or describe an integrator or steam engine indicator, in which his mechanism is used, it is possible that it may be worthy of the Society.
