Referee's report by Horace Darwin, on a paper 'The elasmometer, a new interferential form of elasticity apparatus' by Alfred Edward Howard Tutton Sectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. The paper is only a description of the instrument and Darwin is a little doubtful whether it is advisable to publish the description without giving any results obtained. All the figures should be reproduced. Figure three should include a scale. Thinks more drawings are needed for clarification; does not understand the first five lines of page 16.
