Referee's report by Dukinfield Henry Scott, on a paper 'The fossil flora of the Culm-Measures of North West Devon, and the palaeobotanical evidence with regard to the age of the beds' by E A Newell Arber Sectional Committee: Botany and Geology Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, except perhaps for the long list of synonyms as he is not convinced of their necessity in a paper of this kind, one or two references to characteristic figures might suffice. All the illustrations are necessary. The paper is a valuable contribution to the carboniferous flora of Britain. The evidence as to the age of the beds afforded by the flora is handled with judgement and skill. [Published in the Philosophical Transactions B, 1905].
