<dc:title>Referee's report by William Cecil Dampier Whetham, on a paper 'Saturated solutions' by Randal Thomas Mowbray Rawdon Berkeley</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Sectional Committee: Physics and Chemistry

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. Suggests an alteration to the title of the sixth column of the tables given on page XXV, from 'concentration' to 'dilution', though he notes it would be better to recalculate the numbers and keep the heading as concentration. The paper offers no scope for originality of theoretical treatment as it deals only with the determination of constants of certain solutions. Theoretical considerations are expressly postponed until other constants have been obtained. On the other hand the work is carefully done and considerable skill and ingenuity have been shown in overcoming experimental difficulties. Several years accurate and laborious investigation is summarized, which is the first part of a more extended scheme of work.
