Not recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Makes note of some issues and problems with the methods and apparatus used. Considers the paper not up to the standards of the Philosophical Transactions, and too long for the Proceedings. Suggests the papers be submitted to the Society of Chemical Industry, as they are sure to cause controversy, which is not objected to there. Believes Professor Will of Berlin will be interested in the papers. Has discussed the papers with Dr Silberrad [Oswald Silberrad], Superintendant of Chemical Research in the Experimental Establishment, Woolwich Arsenal.
