<dc:title>Referee's report by Francis Wall Oliver, on a paper 'An automatic method for the investigation of velocity of transmission of excitation in mimosa' by Jagadish Chandra Bose</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Sectional Committee: Physiology

Recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. The author does not make any reference to previous work, such as that of Haberlandt [Friedrich Haberlandt or Gottlieb Haberlandt] and Wilhelm Pfeffer. 'Bose's paper has very good and very bad points, which is rather what might be expected from a physicist attacking botanical problems'.
