<dc:title>Referee's report by Sidney Frederic Harmer, on a paper 'The locomotor function of the lantern in Echinus, with observations on other allied lantern activities' by James Fairlie Gemmill</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Sectional Committee: Zoology

Recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Suggests a new arrangement for the figures. Believes a summary was presented at the British Association meeting in Portsmouth, but as nothing has since been published this should not affect it's acceptance by the Royal Society. Refers to a Croonian lecture by George John Romanes and James Cossar Ewart in 1881, 'Observations on the locomotor system of echinodermata' [doi: 10.1098/rspl.1881.0001 Vol.31 1881].
