<dc:title>Referee's report by Frederick Frost Blackman, on a paper 'Studies in the cytology of the statolith apparatus in plants viewed in relation to their habit ad biological requirements' by T L Prankerd</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Sectional Committee: Botany

Not recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Considers the paper more suitable for a specialist botanical journal. The author has previously published results of similar researches elsewhere, including the British Association Journal. The researches are interesting and have botanical, but not general scientific interest. Suggests the part covering Asplenium bulbiferum, which is detailed and informative, should be published.

[Part published in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London' B, 1922 - 'On the irritability of the fronds of asplenium bulbiferum, with special reference to graviperception']
