<dc:title>Referee's report by Thomas Martin Lowry, on a paper 'The structure of surface films. Part XVIII. -The effect of alkalinity in the underlying solution on films of fatty acids' by Neil Kensington Adam and J G F Miller</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Sectional committee: Chemistry

Recommended for publication in Proceedings, in full. The standard of interest in the earlier papers is not being maintained with this on, as the research 'is now limited to side-issues'. There should be sharper separation of general considerations. The authors use the wrong pH symbol throughout the paper and this should be rectified.
