<dc:title>Referee's report by George Ingle Finch, on a paper 'Catalytic activity, crystal structure and adsorptive properties of evaporated metal films' by Otto Beeck, Alan Edward Smith and Ahlborn Wheeler</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Sectional committee: Chemistry

Recommended for publication in Proceedings, so long as the paper is abbreviated to fit Proceedings standards. Some of the summary should be re-assessed. The experimental section could be shortened. The discussion is good, but sometimes speculative. The paper is good and stimulating. It may be of value to the enemy, due to the new light it throws on nickel as a catalyst.
