<dc:title>Referee's report by Peter Brian Medawar, on a paper 'The transplantation of normal tissues: with special reference to auto- and homotransplants of thyroid and spleen in the anterior chamber of the eye, and subcutaneously, in guinea-pigs' by Michael Francis Addison Woodruff and Hazel G Woodruff </dc:title>

Not recommended for publication. It contains lots of interesting and valuable information but contains defects which make it unacceptable for publication. The authors haven't forced their way to a single objective and the individual experiments 'often fail to carry conviction'. There is material for two or three papers but these be more suited to publication in the Journal of Endocrinology or the Journal of Pathology and Bacteriology.
