<dc:title>Referee's report by Cyril Dean Darlington, on a paper 'Observations on some plant interphase nuclei' by J Chayen, H G Davies and Ursula J Miles</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Sectional committee: Botany

Paper reference code: B21

Recommended for publication in the Proceedings. Darlington writes: 'My opinion of the Chayen paper is that it is an honest an competent piece of work of moderate value. It seems too detailed technically even in its present form but this is justified in a technically new field where many quibbles are likely to be made by critics. The author's term, "middle zone" is probably unfortunate since it cannot be applied to peripheral nucleoli and I have no doubt the author would be willing to reconsider this point of nomenclature.'
