<dc:title>Referee's report by Frederick Gugenheim Gregory, on a paper 'The terminal oxidases in the respiration of the embryos and young roots of barley' by William Owen James</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Sectional committee: Botany

Paper reference code: B59

Recommended for publication in the Proceedings. Gregory writes: 'In my opinion this is an excellent paper; although I have no first had knowledge of the subject. The presentation is succinct and admirably clear. The evidence for the difference in terminal oxidases of embryo and root of germinating barley grains appears to me to be convincing, and important.'
