<dc:title>Letter from J S Lombard, to George Gabriel Stokes, regarding a paper 'Experimental researches on the temperature of the head' by J S Lombard</dc:title>
<dc:description>Enquires about the Committee's decision as regards publication of the paper. Has heard from Henry Charlton Bastian that a notice, which has been received, is the usual way of informing of non-publication. Has also learnt from Henry Charlton Bastian that once a paper has been secured in the archives, it cannot be returned to the author, and enquires if this is indeed correct. Charles-Édouard Brown-Séquard has requested a copy of the paper for the Archives de Physiologie, but as the author has no full copies, only notes and partial sections, receiving the copy of the paper currently held by the Royal Society would save the author a great deal of time and effort in recreating the paper from his notes.
