<dc:title>Referee's report by James Whitbread Lee Glaisher, on a paper 'Memoir on Abel's theorem' by R C Rowe, with an 'Addition to Mr Rowe's paper' by Arthur Cayley</dc:title>
<dc:description>Recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society', along with the 'Addition' by Arthur Cayley. Suggests the addition of an introduction, stating which parts of the paper are reproductions from Niels Henrik Abel and George Boole. The paper was originally a Trinity College Fellowship Essay, and has not been modified. Printing the paper as it stands might be misleading and subject the author to accusations of unfairness. Suggests it be stated that the paper was written as an essay, as it is probably too late now to rewrite parts of it into a memoir. Suggests the paper be made more ready for the printers, to save time correcting proofs later.
