The views detailed in Gadow and Abbott are no longer supported by Gadow. States that one point claimed to be original was observed in 1842 by [Hermann] Stannius. Supports the criticism of [S G Manavala] Ramanujam (1929). Notes the point on the interdorsal is interesting but 'not well worked out'.
