<dc:title>Letter from [William Robin] Thompson to Sir Henry [Hallett] Dale, regarding a paper 'Variation in wings of Plecoptera' by [Arthur] Willey</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Paper reference code: B.60

Does not recommend the paper for publication in the Proceedings [of the Royal Society] or Transactions [Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society]. Describes the content as 'little more than a detailed description'. Explains it is best suited to an entomological journal, but is unconvinced the paper would be accepted by the Entomological Society of London. Acknowledges that the other referees [Harry Eltringham and Augustus Daniel Imms] have reviewed the paper more positively, but restates the argument that it is not of the required quality.

[Not published in Royal Society journals but likely reworked as article published in Nature, volume 140, pp.112-113, 1937].
