<dc:title>Referee's Report by [William Cudmore McCullagh] Lewis on a paper 'The applicability of the Gibb's adsorption theorem to solutions whose surface tension curves exhibit minima on horizontal peitions' by [James William] McBain and G F Mills</dc:title>

Sectional committee: Chemistry

Is not confident in his assessment of the paper as it 'presents a very considerable difficulty to the referee'. While the paper is worthwhile, it does not significantly develop knowledge. Suggests a much shortened version of the paper be published, but thinks it would be best to consult other referees. Recommends [Frederick George] Donnan and [Edward Armand] Guggenheim for this.
