Dinners in London seem out of the question and lunches would not appeal to members. The banker's orders are another difficulty and he thinks they should send a circular cancelling these before the next subscriptions are due. Butler has had a bad breakdown in health, and should have been replaced; but he will carry on as there is nothing to do. 25 October 1940
