<dc:title>Letter from F G [Frederick George] Donnan, Roseneath, Hartlip, nr. Sittingbourne, Kent, to C D Ellis, 108 Chiltern Court, Baker Street, London</dc:title>
<dc:description>He is writing to Ellis and to Watson, as Treasurers of the Royal Society Club. In order to balance the accounts, he suggests holding fewer dinners this session. [Edward John] Russell started his term with a larger balance, but 'muddled things' towards the end. He suggests other economies and asks for their views.

With a reply from Ellis, 1 February 1944, agreeing with Donnan's main suggestion of fewer dinners, and thinks it should be announced to the Club at the next dinner.</dc:description>
