<dc:title>Letter from W W [William Whitehead] Watts, Hillside, Langley Park, Sutton, Surrey, to [Edmond Herbert Grove] Hills</dc:title>
<dc:description>He sends money from nine guarantors, including Abney, who did not answer the circular. Thomson and Thornycroft remain and he encloses their letters. Thornycroft repeated his guarantee. Geikie did not reply except verbally and Crookes died before replying. Bonney was not asked for a guarantee. Tilden was critical and Watts does not think a copy of the book was sent to him. He half-promised a copy of the book to the Royal Society, for its Library. </dc:description>
