<dc:title>Letter from H C L [Henry Capel Lofft] Holden, 2 St John's Park, Blackheath, to [Sidney Frederic] Harmer</dc:title>
<dc:description>It was good of Harmer to take Bragg's duty last Thursday and Holden is sorry to hear that Bragg has whooping cough. He explains the circumstances whereby Macmillan are offering the Club copies of Geikie's 'Annals of ther Royal Society Club' at 5 shillings per copy. Their last account indicates that Macmillan had 134 copies left out of 300 copies made at their own risk. The cost of all would be £33 10s., and they might consider selling them at a profit. The assistant secretary at the Royal Society tells him that they have 63 copies left of the Club's original 200. With four new members elected to the Club each year, the entire supply of books would last them 50 years, he thinks. He notes two possible courses of action, asks what Harmer thinks, and solicits Bragg's opinion. </dc:description>
