Letter from W H [William Henry] Bragg, University of London, University College, Gower Street, to [Henry Capel Lofft] Holden Bragg encloses two copies of the [Royal Society Club] menu, one inscribed with guests and members, together with the account for the dinner. The only speaker was Professor [Edward Waldo] Forbes of the Art Museum at Harvard, who spoke about the condition of works of art in Russia; which although in a proper museum, are in a poor state, giving the example of a Raphael 'observed to be drenched by rain'. 17 November 1923
