<dc:title>Letter from Thomas Gold to Dr Robert Fleischer, Astronomy Section, National Science Foundation, 1800 G Street, N.W., Washington DC</dc:title>
<dc:description>To inform Fleischer that they are still straining at the leash to go ahead with the construction of the pilot model concrete-epoxy dish. If any further information is required, they will be glad to supply it.

Sebastian von Hoerner will be with them in the winter, and he has also considerable interests in this type of instrument. Gold feels Hoerner would like to assist in the planning and design. If they could be financed for at least a limited amount of engineering design work and a few crucial experiments with materials, they would be in a better position to make a more definitive estimate of performance and costs.</dc:description>
