Letter from Thomas Gold to Professor Martin Harwit, Chairman, Department of Astronomy, Space Sciences Building, Campus Confirming he expects to be taking a year's leave of abssence, and hopes that does not cause too much inconvenience. He will be taking up a Henry Luce Visiting Professorship at Mount Holyoke, and will be working with members of the Five-college Astronomy Department at Amherst. Nevertheless, would like to hear, whenever possible, what his slary level will be - for next yeeear - fitrstly for planning purposes, secondly since he expects to be present for the summer and the summer salary will be affected. Also asks that the supplemental $1000 supplemental his chair carries could be maintained as it is used for work related expenses. 17 March 1975
