Letter from Thomas Gold to Mr Oscar Guth, Executive Officer, School of Physics, University of Sydney, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Encloses the magnus opus Guth has been waiting for. Has marked in pencil on the side the positions where tables or figures should be in the book, if possible. He realizes of course that photographs may have to be bunched together and therefore cannot be in the optimum locations. Gold has made the text and the figures as independent as possible, so Guth is free to reduce the number of illustrations at will without interfering with the sense. Of course Gold will show many more slides in the lectures. States there are four chapters, which hopefully will coincide with the four lectures; 60 typed pages or 16,500 words.
