<dc:title>Letter from Thomas Gold to Dr David Davies, Editor, Nature, 4 Little Essex Street, London, WC2, England</dc:title>
<dc:description>Is enclosing an article for publilcation in 'Nature'. Gold believes it has several important and possibly urgent applications, such as in the field of earthquake prediction and in the serach for fuels. The publication time is therefore a major concern, and Nature's good record is attractive.

Gold realizes that the paper would be a little long for 'Nature'. Davies may be willing to give it special consideration. A modest shortening would be possible, though not without loss of substance. Walter Munk had urged Gold to submit it to Davies and let him judge.</dc:description>
