<dc:title>Letter from Thomas Gold to Sir Hermann Bondi, East House, Buckland Corner, Reigate Heath, Surrey, England</dc:title>
<dc:description>Encloses his magnum opus on gases from the Earth, and as Bondi can see it puts a totally different complexion on hydrocarbons and on earthquakes from the conventional one. States that from the tsunami argument it can readily be seen that this story must be correct - huge displacements are needed and only gas bubbling up through the water could give this.

Gold thinks a lot of this gas is accessible, though only by techniques that have to be divised for the purpose.

All this should not get out until it is published, but it is a major pertubation for his field.</dc:description>
