<dc:title>Letter from Thomas Gold to Professor Harry Messel, Head, School of Physics, University of Sydney, Sydney, New South Wales, Asutralia</dc:title>
<dc:description>Concerning his views on the global fuel problem, which have now developed to be of enormous importance (if correct).

Asks for copies two articles they cannot get at Cornell.

Is enclosing a press statement that sums up the situation, also a Senate testimony; also a letter from Senator Kennedy which is strictly for his private information.

Asks how everything is, and when they are likely to see him in the USA again.

All is well with them, and his daughter Lauren in now three and a half and is fascinated by the stories they tell her about Harry Messel hunting crocodiles in Australia. Gold has recovered from an injury which prevented him from skiing this year; had torn an Achilles tendon which took an operation and six months to heal.</dc:description>
