<dc:title>Letter from Elizabeth Bilson to Mr J Pasini III, Senior Engineer, Morgantown Energy Technology Center, Morgantown, West Virginia</dc:title>
<dc:description>At a recent meeting in Washington Pasini mentioned to Thomas Gold the probable existence of large quantities of methane in the form of solid hydrates deposited beneath the sea. They would llike to study the physical conditions under which these hydrates exist and the variation of methane concentration as a function of the physical conditions. Asks him to indicate to them any literature or information which Pasini might be aware of on this subject. He may remember they are involved in a research project on terrestrial sources of carbon and carbon outgassing and they would of course be very interested to know as much as possible about methane hydrate deposits. </dc:description>
