<dc:title>Letter from Thomas Gold to Dr E William Heinrich and Dr E N Goddard, Department of Geology and Mineralogy, The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan</dc:title>
<dc:description>Declining an invitation to come to the symposium on astrogeology in March. Says that 'While I have the highest regard and much interest in the subject of geology I am not as yet interested in the subject of astrogeology since I do not believe that it exists. Almost all the attempts of recognizing similarity between lunar and terrestrial features are, in my view, quite erroneous and a much more fundamental approach will be required than that of argument by analogy with the earth. All the processes that would be expected are quite different and indeed the appearance is quite different'. Given his views he feels that he cannot attend the symposium.</dc:description>
