Says that, as he has a Surveyor footpad, he will conduct 'some optical experiments related to the very low angle illumination pictures'. He thinks that it is probable that the current JPL [Jet Propulsion Laboratory] story is right but that there are still a couple of minor mysteries which need resolving. 6 March 1967
