  <dc:description>Papers of application from J S Mitchell FRS, Regius Professor of Physic at the University of Cambridge, to the Wolfson Foundation for a contribution towards the purchase of research equipment for  radiotherapy. The application letter from J S Mitchell also refers to Sir John Douglas Cockcroft FRS.
   
The letters also refer to Sir Michael Francis Addison Woodruff FRS, then Professor at Edinburgh University.  It is suggested that a grant application from him would be welcome, in order to buy equipment to support his work in organ transplantation.
