Memberships: Royal Entomological Society of London (President 1936–8) Association of Economic (later Applied) Biologists (President 1930–31) American Academy of Arts and Sciences Parents: Walter Imms, member of the staff of Lloyds Bank, and, Mary Jane Daniel, born in the United States, of British parents who returned to England a few years later. Spouse: Georgiana Mary, daughter of T. W. French, resident magistrate of co. Tyrone, and first cousin of Sir John French (1913). Children: Two daughters.
