Clergyman, Church of England Education: Eton; St John's College (1814); Scholar (1817); B.A (1818); M.A (1821) Career: Member of Trinity College (1833); Ordained deacon (Gloucester, for London) (1820); priest (Chester, for London) (1820); vicar of Butleigh with Baltonsborough, Somerset, (1828-39). Parents: Grigg and Maria Lunn Spouse: Elizabeth Periam Hood (7 December 1837), daughter of Captain Alexander Hood and Elizabeth Periam Assisted Edward Daniel Clarke (1769-1822) in his experiments in isolating cadmium from zinc. On Clarke's death in1820, the Heads of Cambridge nominated Lunn, as well as John Stevens Henslow (1796-1861) for the Professorship of Mineralogy. Has written chapters on electricity and chemistry in the Encyclopaedia Metropolitana. Corresponded with Sir John Herschel.
