MA Career: Fellow of Exeter College, Oxford; Naturalist on HMS Challenger (1872-1876); Linnacre Professor of Human and Comparative Anatomy, Oxford (1881); died of bronchitis Son of Henry Moseley (FRS 1839) and his wife Harriet, daughter of William Nottidge of Wandsworth Common; married (1881) Annabel Nevill, daughter of John Gwyn Jeffreys (FRS 1840). Son was Henry G J Moseley, killed in action 10 August 1915, famous for his periodical table of the elements.
