Honours: OBE 1950 Parents: Thomas Goodey, leather worker, and Hannah (nee Clayson), the daughter of an agricultural worker. Spouse: Constance Lewis (27 July 1912). Noted for his contributions to the study of nematology. Awarded the Mackinnon Studentship of the Royal Society.
