His contributions to Evelyn's work and his correspondence with the Society showcase an avid interest in wine and cider production, as well as agriculture and arboriculture. Acted as correspondent to the Society, in particular with Henry Oldenburg, on topics such as the fertilisation of orchards and gardening. Ejected due to non-payment of arrears 22 July 1685.
