Poet; Education: Education: Emmanuel College, Cambridge (matriculated 1646); Middle Temple (admitted 1646) Parents: possibly Henry Proby, Common Serjeant of the City of London Not much is known about Proby in a personal or professional capacity. From his activities within the Society and contributions to ordinary meetings, he seems to have been involved in gaining an insight into commercial and economic activities. His review of the statutes indicates some legal background and possible activity as as a barrister, as stated in Hunter.
