Physician Education: Guienne; Montpellier; MD (c1683) Career: Lived in Paris, gaining experience in hospitals; a Huguenot, he left Paris after the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes and went to Amsterdam; Physician to the Prince of Orange, whom he accompanied to England (1689); Physician to Marshal Schomberg in Ireland; attached to the household of the Prince of Valdee; had an extensive practice in London; Commissioner for the Sick and Wounded; naturalised British (1696) Memberships: LRCP (1693) Parents: Daniel Silvestre, Procurator to the Parliament of Bordeaux, and Susanne (née Bernardin) Fellow 30/11/1699 Sir Hans Sloane Not on PL after 1717.
