| Title | Letter from [Henry Bradwardine] Jackson, Royal Naval College, Greenwich, S.E. 10. to Mr [Alan Archibald] Campbell-Swinton |
| Creator | Jackson; Sir; Henry Bradwardine (1855 - 1929) |
| Date | 2 August 1918 |
| Description | Informs that Dr Bryan unearthed in his laboratory a plate of electrolytically pure copper, which had been specially ordered for a specific purpose but remained unused. Reports it responded perfectly when he hung it by a string from a hole in the centre and tried it. Explains he mounted it on a pedestal and bound it, finding it maintained its response for many seconds & its pattern could be easily traced out without any further bowing[?]. Believes Swinton would be interested in such detail. |
