TitleLetter from Oliver [Joseph] Lodge, The University, Birmingham, to [Alan Archibald] Campbell Swinton
CreatorLodge; Sir; Oliver Joseph (1851-1940)
Date9 February 1914
DescriptionThanking Swinton for sending a page of "Nature" containing an account of his lecture, stating he has heard it was a very brilliant demonstration. Informs he went nearer to actual telegraphy at Oxford than he did at the Royal Institute because in the Royal Institute he was more specially concerned with optical things. States that Alexander Muirhead was stimulated into telegraphic experiments. Hopes to see Swinton on the Royal Society list this time.
