Title | Letter from Charles [Algernon] Parsons, Clarke, Chapman & Co Engineers, Victoria Works, Gateshead upon Tyne, to [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton |
Creator | Parsons; Sir; Charles Algernon (1854 - 1931); engineer |
Date | 12 June 1885 |
Description | Apologises he did not have a machine that was able to send Swinton. His reason being that the machine he had in view would not work well at 100 volts without rewinding the magnets as it was designed as a 50 volt machine originally. Owing to very limited means of production they were unable to get another ready but hopes to have a 100 volt machine to send soon. |
