Description | Epresses his intest in Swinton's previous letter, stating that it affords a very feasible explanation of the effect on the lamp. Believes it to be a case of the energy of tension taking the place of energy of quantity. Informs he has received the no. 9 wire primary and tried it-with the hand contact breaker it gives sparks 17 inches long from the secondary, and 14 1/2 inches long with the vibrating break. Explains the effects of using a battery. Opposes the further use of thick wire. |
