Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to [Edmund Edward] Fournier d’Albe |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 15 April 1921 |
Description | Informs that at his suggestion, Fournier d'Albe will be asked to show the Optophone at the forthcoming Royal Society Soiree. Suggests that if he accepts the invitation, that he should show the instrument with some amount of amplificationm as in such occasions, there is always a good deal of general noise, which makes it very difficult to hear weak sounds, even with the telephone held close to the ear. |
