Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to H. H. T. Burbury [Esquire]. |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 27 June 1921 |
Description | Acknowledges receipt of a previous letter. Informs he attempted to get him on Saturday night but he heard people talking over gramophone music, with most of it too faint to make out exact words, however, that one speaker mentioned something about his impedance coil being out of order. The day before he managed to hear Mr. Le Quex of Guildford taking to somebody, giving his name and location, commenting on the loudness of his voice. Notifies he will try altering his grid leak and condenser. Thanks Burbury for his invitation and says he will let him know when he is due to go North, highly enthused to see his apparatus. |
