Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Sir Herbert Jackson, K. B. E., F. R. S. |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 11 July 921 |
Description | Returning Jackson's liquid air vacuum vessels. Informs he has written to Stuart De la Rue suggesting he should send samples o his insulating material called Telenduron. Notifies that some preliminary experiments with the agate cylinder are giving promising results but the cylinder is not round, and has flats upon it which can be felt with the finger when it is rotated. Notes that this does not interfere very materially with its working but he may wish to have it trued up later. |
