Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Sir [Richard Arthur Surtees] Paget, West Indian House, 74 Strand, London, W. C. 2 |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 5 November 1920 |
Description | Acknowledges receipt of previous corresponsence and informs he has done nothing further with the fused silica tubes. The first tube was an ordinary one and gave satisfactory results but, it was taken away by Mr Reynolds a while ago. The second tube, which was on the Coolidge principle, did not work properly but, he believes it was not sufficiently exhausted. States that it could not be exhausted further without having a new suction tube blown onto it. |
