Title | Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Dr [Victor James] Woolley, The Society for Psychical Research, 31 Tavistock Square, W. C. 1. |
Creator | Swinton; Alan Archibald Campbell (1863-1930); British electrical engineer |
Date | 16 May 1927 |
Description | Acknowledges receipt of a previous letter. When he wrote to the Evening Standard he had only seen the interview with Woolley but has since received Woolley's letter and read the article in the Radio Times. Agrees that the Evening Standard is not a suitable medium of discussion on such a matter but that is where Woolley's remarks were. Comments that what did appear was very unscientific, apologising for saying so. Declines Woolley's invitation for 20 May as he has prior engagements. Comments on a recent telepathy test being arranged on entirely unscientific lines. |
