| Description | Acknowledges receipt of a previous letter regarding the Cromptons dinner, explain why he cannot attend. Hopes Gibson understands and comments that though he still thinks that the amalgamation with Messrs. Parkinson was a good thing for the shareholders, he has throughout very much disapproved of various things that have been done in carrying this out, which he was powerless to prevent. Comments he always thought that Mr Siddeley's sole object was to get rid of his large shareholding, and that he would not remain on the Board after he had affected this. Believes Parkinson should be Chairman, as he and his brother have the control, and the responsibility should go with the control. |
